Workshop Overview
In the morning, we focus on getting the key elements in place from which you can build a platform for you and your business within the site – something that will put you in the best possible place going forward. We look at setting up and making the most of your personal profile and your company pages as well as looking at the settings to ensure privacy and yet allow you to benefit fully from the sales and marketing potential of the site.
After lunch our focus moves to how you can best use LinkedIn to find the right connections for you and your business. This session will concentrate on core business building functionality through proactive targeting of contacts and prospects, increasing your own visibility and branding across the site and ensuring that you can use the tools available to achieve business success. There will be opportunities to ask questions throughout.

Thanks Jon for a very well run event. I loved the LinkedIn recommendations and the video blogging. I think the training was the right level which is challenging as it could be a bit geeky. I think there was something of value for everybody to take away. Well done. Definitely looking for the next one.

Yes I enjoyed the morning. Good venue, great cakes and, although I do use LinkedIn quite a bit, learnt a lot of good tips from Mark White. Nice one!

Great event, thank you! Very useful tips came out of the presentation – so much more to do than just join LinkedIn! I am looking forward to implementing all the ideas

Specific action that I applied – Did a little update on my profile. Also, as Mark White said whey you invite people to Link send them a small personal message. I am glad to say that both Mark White and Celia did invited me to Link in with their small messages. Mark’s presentation was clear and inspiring enough for me and others to take small action steps.

Useful information, very helpful, good venue (many thanks to Kinnarps) and put across in simple terms. I have updated my profile since, and taken on board the comments re adding small personal message when inviting someone to link with me. Thanks

Hi Jon & Mark, thanks very much for the LinkedIn morning, it was a helpful refresher to the power of the network. It also introduced me to some overlooked subtleties that can make a difference to your profile and connections. I’ve been more active on Linkedin, since the event than I have for the past couple of months, hence the delayed reply to this. Looking forward to the next one and thanks very much to all.

I thought it was excellent Jon and have changed my LI strategy as a result
Andrew Palmer
A clear voice that can be heard through the noise. The quality and content of the presentation by Mark White was informative, educational and enlightening and we should all take notice. I spent the afternoon updating my profile and will continue to watch the Linkedin space with a view to fully exploiting all of its free tools.
Thanks to you Jon – 30 people now know the basics of Linkedin – lets hope they use it wisely.

As an event registration company, Expo Systems staff need to be fully trained in the latest sales & marketing tools, so that we can impart our knowledge and best practice to our exhibition organiser clients. This advisory capacity give us a competitive edge on our rivals, whilst satisfying our commitment to staff training. We have worked with Jon Davey for over 7 years now and welcome his wise words – Jon introduced us to Mark White, an accomplished trainer, to get our staff up to speed on the new social media tools including LinkedIn, and delivered two days of excellent content. The audience had different expectations and exposure to social media, but all came away better equipped, enthused and brimming with ideas of how Expo and its clients could harness the undoubted power of social media. Hats off to you Jon and Mark.
