THE BEST VALUE social media engagement available TODAY?

on 6 August, 2012 No comments as yet -

THE BERKSHIRE 24/7 CLUB COMPANY PAGES SERVICE + “SIMPLIFICATION SERIES” offers you the best value social media engagement service available today…

The purpose of any sales & marketing service is to add value to your organisation. This could be in the form of:

    • more pages on the web with your brand on them
    • an increase in visitors to your website
    • uptake of your new mobile app
    • conversations with past, present and future customers & employees
    • or it might even be about generating more direct sales!

Each company will have their own set of criteria, unique to their situation.

If only there was an organisation that could make this happen… to bring together both online engagements and turn this into offline meetings with potential customers / employees.

BUT WAIT, what’s that coming over the hill? Is it a lobster ;) (Sorry… track from the 80′s, just felt right at this point!)

The Berkshire 24/7 Club organise regular meetings where business people gather to discuss how to simplify various processes to ultimately create sales for, or employment in their company.

Here is the check list of what’s on offer with our Company Pages Service… don’t worry if you don’t understand some of the options… just trust it is a positive one… or call us to discuss 01753 852904… thank you:

Early History of the Berkshire 24/7 Club

Jon Davey created Business in Berkshire as an email newsletter back in 2002 to help promote his email marketing business. In 2004 this became a content management website which allowed members the ability to add regular content that would get picked up more easily by the search engines. In 2008 the site generated 5 million page views! 2009 we started using a LinkedIn Group to engage in conversations with our members and potential members.

2010 Jon created Social Media Directors to help senior managers understand the advantages of using LinkedIn and other social platforms to communicate with customers, employees both past, present and future.

2012 Jon won Social Media Week’s Personality of the Year and hosted the inaugural Business in Berkshire EXPO which attracted 54 exhibitors and 350+ visitors.

The mixing of online and offline became the obvious next course of action and the Berkshire 24/7 Club was born.

Using auto tweets during Olympic Rowing to attract video uploads from Dorney Lake

on 26 July, 2012 No comments as yet -

Jon Davey, Director of Inspiration Customer Experiences over at Social Media Directors is looking for more potential clients to be inspired to commission him (me) to work through their social media engagement challenges…

To showcase my creative thinking and to make my small mark on the Olympics, I have come up with this potentially great use of auto tweets to engage with those attending, and taking part in the Olympic rowing at Dorney Lake.

If you are trying to boost awareness of your company, products and brands then auto tweets can be useful… they only tend to annoy Twitter purists… the target for the tweet tends to respond positively…

If you are into social media to generate business you might enjoy this experiment… keep one eye on it while enjoying the TV coverage

HootSuite opening offices in London, Europe

on 17 July, 2012 No comments as yet -

“London Calling…” is how Sandy Pell announced HootSuite’s expansion into Europe yesterday… made me think of the miners strike and hanging out with Joe Strummer at The Monument in Newcastle town centre back in 1983-‘84

Some young miner’s son had his money jar open and was counting his takings on the grass… the sun was shining and I was having time out from Poly… I was studying a HND in Business Studies at Newcastle Polytechnic at the time.

30 years ago… chuff… where has the time gone… married, 2 kids & a dog… time didn’t seem to matter then… but it feels all encompassing now…

Choices back then were “Should I stay or should I go now!” Today we have 24/7 access to each other which is great but also means we keep peddling 24/7… I’ll just finish this love and we can watch that programme together… 2 hours later… sorry, was it good?

HootSuite is an ever expanding social media engagement tool which enables you to both monitor your multiple channels and also distribute your content far and wide from a single interface…

“Frictionless sharing” is a term I am increasingly reading about… I think it came out of Facebook’s desire to make it easier for you to spend money with them…

“Intrinsic motivation” is my favourite term of the moment… it describes our keenness to do stuff we love doing… we become expert when we have spent 10,000 hours “playing” or engrossed in something… we only spend that time if we’re enjoying ourselves…

So I guess those that love shopping will become expert and buy a ton of stuff via Facebook but I’d rather intelligent systems take me on a journey in time and space around what I love doing and we’ll end up somewhere rocking out to the rhythm we’re likely to share…

Back in 1983-84 that was 5 pints of Old Peculiar / Slalom D lager @ Monday’s blues night at the Broken Doll with The Clash playing on the Jukebox before the jamming began…

Today that’s a bottle of sparkling Shiraz, shared with the Mrs on a Friday night while the kids tell us about their week over a Chinese meal… love it ;)

Welcome to Blighty HootSuite… let me know if I can be of assistance…

Building Your Premiership Social Media Team

on 21 April, 2012 No comments as yet -

As a busy Sales or Marketing Director for a company you’re probably aware of the increasingly powerful impact social media is having on driving sales for businesses like yours. As a Senior Director within an organisation you may be wondering how social media can be integrated into your sales and marketing process to improve the bottom line.

Jon Davey helping companies win their Premiership games

My name is Jon Davey and I have been involved in online marketing since the last century and this year I was the lucky (or skilled) winner of Social Media Week’s Social Media Personality of the Year Award… one of only 4 prizes on offer in the UK. Social Media Week is massive in the industry… 1500 events around the world, 150 in the UK and #SMWLDN achieved over 104,000,000 mentions!

Ask anyone who “virtually” knows me, they will tell you I am a shoot from the hip type of guy. I try many things and am willing to fail, so I can learn and make the next campaign better than the one before… this means I have tried many approaches that you haven’t even considered yet and so through discussion, you can fast track your learning, enabling you to compete with the best in your industry.

Reading FC recently won promotion to the Premiership and through my links at the club I have been able to secure a Premiership Social Media Package for business leaders around the county.

I know that Directors and Senior Managers like yourself are incredibly business and the next meeting will be called at a minutes notice… but then you will also find yourself with a few hours spare…

Spending a few hours with me and a couple of other senior directors at The Madejski Stadium will help you understand social media a bit better and also connect with like minded senior directors who may be able to assist you in furthering your career.

Meetings are hosted in the Executive Boxes at the Madejski Stadium, overlooking Reading FC’s Premiership Football pitch and London Irish’s Premiership Rugby pitch… and what a view!

We could get 10 in the box but prefer to give our Senior Directors space to breathe and swing a cat if they choose to… so we have 5 directors chairs available for our top flight learners… just look at the view… and if the sun is shining… therapeutic…

The format is:

8:00am Coffee, tea, bacon butties while saying hello to each other

8:30am The first half is 45 minutes of Jon Davey taking you on a social media journey. From building websites in 1999 to WINNING Awards in 2012 and all stops in between.

9:15am Then each director will be given 15-20 minutes to share what their goals and Jon, along with the other directors, will help paint a clearer picture to help you put your social media mission / team format together.

11:00am After all the directors that wish to share and gain insight from others have done so, Jon will bring on the 2nd half and share what he has planned for his 2012-13 Premiership season. Including his own Social Media Business Awards, the Business in Berkshire EXPO and his all new Company Pages formulae for rapid product deployment. Not pitching the products but explaining his thought process behind each…

11:45am Anyone for a spot of lunch? Or would you rather get off and attend to business? Choice is yours.

We can order drinks as you need them… and the price is all inclusive… this is the Premiership of social media engagement and training after all.

We charge £247 + VAT per attendee… you pay in advance by PayPal or invoice…

Once you have paid you go into our “speed dial list”. As we announce the next event we will call, email, text or tweet you to say, “Would you like to join us on… ?” The first 5 to say yes are booked in… if only 1 person responds we’ll still run the session, they will simply get more me time ;)

Those directors that join us will become part of the Berkshire 24/7 Club, an exclusive network that gets special invitations to this, that and the other events that are going on around the county. This club is so exclusive it doesn’t even have a website!

Pay the fee above and we’ll send you details of our next Premiership Social Media event… we generally host an event every 10 days or so…

Thank you.
