At Social Media Directors, our goal is simply to help businesses, large and small, to understand what social media can offer them as part of their business development, marketing and customer service activities, and then work with them to achieve that through training, consultancy and knowledge transfer as required.
We view social media as the natural progression of the online marketing world as it tries to copy the way that we interact in everyday life as we go about our business or personal lives – that is we share information, ask for advice or recommendation and generally talk to each other.

Jon Davey
After 10 years experience in sales with corporate companies, Jon decided the time was right to establish his own business and, on examining the marketplace, he started his own web design business around the start of the millennium. This quickly developed in scope so that two years later Business in Berkshire was born – the rest, as they say, is history!
Jon has now assisted 100s of small businesses (and a number of larger organisations) with their online marketing projects covering all aspects of the industry. From setting up simple websites through to recommending and integrating a range of online social media networking tools, the goals remained clear – to consistently maximise the exposure and resulting sales for the amount of energy and resources put in. He also has a vast experience in managing email marketing campaigns while also providing an email platform to resellers.

Mark White
Mark is a social media marketing specialist and business blog consultant who delivers a range of focused social media marketing and blogging services to small and medium sized companies as well as corporates across the UK and Europe.
Mark works with these organisations to help them both understand what benefit Social Media, business blogs and online marketing in general could be for their organisations and then help them set up, develop and market their activities.
